About Honors Convocation
The Honors Convocation is a special academic ceremony recognizing students who have achieved outstanding academic excellence during the previous academic year. It is an opportunity for the University community to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of our highest-performing students.
Honorees are recognized in front of their peers, faculty, staff, family, and friends for their exceptional commitment to scholarship and the values of the University.
How to Qualify
he President’s Honour Roll, the Provost’s Honour Roll, and the Dean’s List are comprised of students with high scholastic achievement.
✅ General Requirements:
- 📚 Register for and complete 12 graded credits per semester.
- 🚫 No “Incomplete” grades and no individual grade below “C”.
- 📊 Attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
All students attaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 will receive special recognition at the annual Honors Convocation Exercise.
🏅 President’s Honour Roll
- Cumulative GPA: 4.00
- 🗓 Complete at least two full consecutive semesters.
- 📝 Earn A–C letter grades in all courses and complete a minimum of 28 credits.
- 🚫 No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
🎖 Provost’s Honour Roll
- Cumulative GPA: 3.74 – 3.99
- 🗓 Complete at least two full consecutive semesters.
- 📝 Earn A–C letter grades in all courses and complete a minimum of 28 credits.
- 🚫 No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
📜 Dean’s List
- Cumulative GPA: 3.50 – 3.73 for one semester of the school year.
- 📝 Complete at least 12 A–C letter-graded credits.
🚫 No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
Draft Honors List (Preliminary List)
The Draft Honors List is a preliminary listing of eligible honorees based on academic records at the time of review.
- This draft is subject to change pending verification of grades and eligibility requirements.
- Students who believe there is an error in the draft list should complete the Honors Query Form to request a review.

Final Honors List (Confirmed List)
The Final Honors List is the official list of honorees for the current Honors Convocation.
- ✅ Only students on this list will be recognized during the ceremony.

Ceremony Guidelines & Instructions
Honorees should review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and memorable ceremony:
- 🏫 Assembly Location: Students are to assemble in Social Sciences Building at 2:30 pm.
- 👔 Dress Code (Professional Attire):
- Black bottoms (trousers or skirts)
- White tops (blouses or shirts)
- Black bottoms (trousers or skirts)
- 📜 Honor Cord/Sash Agreement: Honorees must complete the Honor Cord/Sash Rental Agreement Contract in order to collect their Honor Cord/Sash.
- 🎀 Honor Cord/Sash Distribution: Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Registrar’s Office, Ground Floor, Administration Building.
- 🔄 Return Policy: Honor Cords/Sashes are not to be kept by students and must be returned immediately after the Honors Convocation Ceremony.
- 🕒 Arrival Time: Honorees should arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony for registration and seating.
- 🎟 Seating: Reserved seating will be provided for honorees.
- 📢 Protocol: Please remain seated until your name is called and follow the usher’s directions.
- 👨👩👧 Guests: Honorees may invite a limited number of guests (see RSVP confirmation for details).
