About Honours Convocation
The Honours Convocation is a special academic ceremony recognising students who have achieved outstanding academic excellence during the previous academic year. It is an opportunity for the University community to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of our highest-performing students.
Honourees are recognising in front of their peers, faculty, staff, family, and friends for their exceptional commitment to scholarship and the values of the University.
How to Qualify
The President’s Honour Roll, the Provost’s Honour Roll, and the Dean’s List are comprised of students with high scholastic achievement.
General Requirements:
- Register for and complete 12 graded credits per semester.
- No “Incomplete” grades and no individual grade below “C”.
- Attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
All students attaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 will receive special recognition at the annual Honours Convocation Exercise.
President’s Honour Roll
- Cumulative GPA: 4.00
- Complete at least two full consecutive semesters.
- Earn A–C letter grades in all courses and complete a minimum of 28 credits.
- No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
Provost’s Honour Roll
- Cumulative GPA: 3.74 – 3.99
- Complete at least two full consecutive semesters.
- Earn A–C letter grades in all courses and complete a minimum of 28 credits.
- No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
Dean’s List
- Cumulative GPA: 3.50 – 3.73 for one semester of the school year.
- Complete at least 12 A–C letter-graded credits.
- No “I” (Incompletes), “DG” (Deferred Grades), or grades below “C”.
Honours List
Draft List
The Draft Honours List is a preliminary listing of eligible honourees based on academic records at the time of review.
- This draft is subject to change pending verification of grades and eligibility requirements.
- Students who believe there is an error in the draft list should complete the Honours Query Form to request a review.
Final List
The Final Honours List is the official list of honourees for the current Honours Convocation.
- Only students on this list will be recognised during the ceremony.
- Published after all academic records are verified.

Ceremony Guidelines & Instructions
Honourees should review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and memorable ceremony:
Assembly Location: Students are to assemble Nursing Building, Located downstairs the USC Auditorium at 2:30pm.
Dress Code (Professional Attire):
- Black bottoms (trousers or skirts)
- White tops (blouses or shirts)
Honour Cord/Sash Agreement: Honourees must complete the Honour Cord/Sash Rental Agreement Contract in order to collect their Honour Cord/Sash.
Honour Cord/Sash Distribution: Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Registrar’s Office, Ground Floor, Administration Building.
Return Policy: Honour Cords/Sashes are not to be kept by students and must be returned immediately after the Honours Convocation Ceremony.
Arrival Time: Honourees should arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony for registration and seating.
Seating: Reserved seating will be provided for honourees.
Protocol: Please remain seated until your name is called and follow the usher’s directions.
Guests: Honourees may invite a limited number of guests (see RSVP confirmation for details).
